To improve performance and increase the life-span of your Durarig Tarpaulin, Outdoor Connection recommends the following MINIMUM number of perimeter poles, guy ropes, and springs per tarpaulin. No warranty will be given where the recommended minimum number of upright and support poles are not used.

Other spreader bars or upright poles ought to be used under the tarpaulin where there are large areas of unsupported tarp. Generally there should be no more than 8 feet (2.5metres) of unsupported tarp in either the width or longitudinal direction.

Guy Ropes and springs:

You should have a double guy rope on each corner and a single guy rope for every other pole.

Every spreader bar needs 2 x double guy ropes. Double guy ropes require 2 springs each, and single guy ropes require 1 spring for each rope.
