Replacement light globesDonna - 30th December 2023I can not find anywhere that sells globes for my Rechargeable Retro Lantern #5312-1021Reply: Donna we are a little perplexed as to why you would give us a 1 star review regarding the Rechargeable Retro Lantern #5312-1021. We can not see where you have made contact with us to see if we could help you with your request for this product. The globe has been very difficult to get for years and much bigger 'box stores' are in the same situation as us - NOT being able to get stock!!! The supply of this product from the American producer into the Australian market is beyond our control. Did you leave the 'big box stores' a one star review???? Or do you like picking on small family owned and operated business???? Had you made contact with us - we may have had a suggestion where you 'might be able' to get this product. Would not honour return policyKayla - 05th December 2021The store displayed the return policy which stipulates change of mind returns were accepted. They refused to return full refund, only agreed to refund minus $10 which was not stipulated anywhere in the policy and is a total breach of consumer law. Avoid this store!Sorry, Kayla, but we do not recognize you as a customer. However, your information above it not correct. On our front counter where customers pay for their goods - there are two signs about return policy. One from ACCC that states you are not entitled to a refund or exchange for 'change of mind'. We suggest that you go to the ACCC.gov.au and check for yourself. Our own return policy sign states we charge a fee for 'change of mind'. Come in and read both for yourself. Or make an appointment with us via the website so that both David and Wendy can speak to you in person. A very helpful business.Keith - 17th March 2020I live on the Sunshine Coast in Qld and had no luck in sourcing a new hose for a Companion camp stove ( still in excellent condition) I had purchased some 40 something years ago. I found Bairnsdale Camping & Outdoors on line and emailed them what I was after. The part is now on it's way and the rest is history. What a gem of a business. The lady went over and beyond her explanations of the product in question and what may be the problem. Based on my experience, I would recommend you to anyone looking for Primus parts. When I tried them on in the shop they fitted comfortably but after a few weeks they became very uncomfortable in the toe area. As they were still under warrantee Wendy sent them back to the manufacturers who refused to accept that there was a problem. Because Wendy was able to identify the fault, after several phone calls and emails on my behalf from both Wendy and John they were finally able to convince the manufacturers to honour the warrantee and I received a brand new pair of 300.00 boots!Response from Wendy. Thank you for your understanding and support during our long running battle with the boot company. We have since taken the issue up with the M.D of the company and we have been assured that there warranty staff are going to be better trained.
