I purchased a Deuter hiking pack after receiving very good advice from Wendy. The pack ended up being the very best I have ever used, a 5 day hike with a load of 18kg and absolutely no sore spots during or at the end. My Scarpa boots, bought at the same time have proved to be a great purchase also.
